After analyzing feedback for each nominee to find those who are highly regarded, the editorial team verifies top candidates’ standing with their local bar association before finalizing their inclusion in that year’s edition.
For 2020’s The Best Lawyers in America, the final listees were chosen based on the results of 8.3 million votes. To ensure the process is fair, ballots do not include the name of their recipient; all feedback comes from third parties who will not be directly affected by a certain attorney’s inclusion.
